President
Jim Lutz is the Founder and President of Vaya Adventures, a tailor-made travel company. For over 20 years, Vaya Adventures has been offering exceptional private adventures for its travelers. Some of the destinations it serves across the world include Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, South & Central America, and the Polar regions. A native of New Jersey, Jim graduated from Harvard and initially pursued a career as an attorney before founding Vaya, inspired by years of living, working, and traveling in Europe, North Africa, and South America. Today, he leads a team of Destination Specialists dedicated to crafting tailor-made adventures with deep local insight and expertise and providing 24/7 in country support. Jim resides in Berkeley, California with his wife and three children and also serves as President of the International Galápagos Tour Operators Association (IGTOA), reflecting his long-standing commitment to sustainable tourism and conservation.
